a nonsensical word created by immature high school students who need a way to “stand out” and distinguish themselves. obviously these kids don’t have enough personality to do this through any other way than posting “quating” on facebook statuses and forming a secret club about the word. it gives them a sense of ident-ty although its superficial because the ident-ty is essentially built around something unreal.
