in muslim-majority countries, a mohammedan candidate running against a more capable infidel opponent would seldom fail to leverage on the religion card to get elected.
be it in indonesia or malaysia, besides using race and religion as trump cards, second-rate candidates would unashamedly get the support of religious hardliners to invoke the blasphemy laws against infidel or minority opponents—isn’t it true that religion does win the election?
