an abbreviation for n-buhiro watsuki’s popular manga series, rurouni kenshin. this is watsuki’s first manga. first released in j-pan (of course) but later came to the us.
consisting of twenty-eight volumes, it tells the story of himura kenshin, a hitokiri (-ssasin) of the bak-matsu turned rurouni (wanderer) in the new meiji era, with a dark past and a vow to never take another life.
now he must protect his friends in the preasent with his reverse blade sword, a sakabato while trying to attone for the sins of his h-tokiri days.
