Sam Day
similar to a snow day, but can occur due to much less snow fall then one would think. may even occur when snow is falling, but has not yet begun to acc-mulate. has also been known to occur due to ones significant other calling one at work to report a flake or two in the air at home.
jeffrey took a sam day, due to 3/4 of an inch of wet, slushy snow that had fallen.
