a combination of the two words “savage and gnarly “ a how do you to have derived from two similar but different outdoor pursuits. “ gnarly” coming from the surfing world and “savage” from mountain adventures. it describes something which is both very scary and very difficult. often used in conjunction with a hand sign which is a claw which represents savage , which you shake like the cl-ssic surfing hand signal.
dude the line you just skied as totally savnar!
