scary songs
scary songs are songs that don’t cover creepy lyrics with soothing sounds like the song “every breath you take,” does, which makes it a creepy pop song. scary songs are typically common in heavy metal, punk rock, grunge, goth rock, and swamp rock in which the song is intended to explore the darkside of the conscious mind in order to defeat or control it.
some examples of scary songs include “psycho killer,” “paranoid,” “the end,” “quicksand,” “sinister purpose,” “darkness on the edge of town,”
“white room,” “brain damage,” “who are the brain police,” “cop killer,” or “season of the witch.”
