information of little or no value that is nevertheless supposed to be considered confidential. used disparagingly by people who are bound to maintain confidentiality but do not respect it.
a: “hey, what are you working on?”
b: “sorry, it’s sekret.”
a “sekret” is just like a dumb old secret. not really confidential, when told, and the person really doesnt want to tell you.
dude 1: hey, i’ve got a sekret
