Selfie
selfie is in which a person uses a front side camera or a built-in one on their phone to take a selfie. fun fact: the word is actually in the oxford dictionary.
(example: i’m going to try and take a selfie on my phone, it’s the new thing people are doing!)
a picture taken of yourself that is planned to be uploaded to facebook, mysp-ce or any other sort of social networking website. you can usually see the person’s arm holding out the camera in which case you can clearly tell that this person does not have any friends to take pictures of them so they resort to mysp-ce to find internet friends and post pictures of themselves, taken by themselves. a selfie is usually accompanied by a kissy face or the individual looking in a direction that is not towards the camera.

a strange phenomenon in which the photographer is also the subject of the photograph, in a subversive twist on the traditional understanding of the photograph. usually conducted because the subject cannot locate a suitable photographer to take the photo, like a friend.

the taking of a picture of yourself and posting it on facebook because you have extremely low self-esteem and you need people to comment to tell you how hot or pretty you look. in reality you just look desperate for attention. and no matter how attractive you might be, you still look pathetic. see also duck face/kissy face makes you look r-t-rded.

an over used word meaning taking a picture of your self. this is mainly used by people who are too lazy to say “take a picture of myself” or people who get obsessed with everything that’s popular until it gets over used. selfies are usually posted on instagram, facebook, etc.
