a person in academia or teaching who, despite having a considerable amount of allocated time for research and presenting their specialist ideas, chooses instead to spend their life lazing around, contributing nothing of note. high tendency to procrastinate. late to bed, late to rise. behaviours include excessive watching of tv and movies, eating at irregular hours, high alcohol consumption, starting essays but never finishing them, browsing the internet, and being reclusive.
“hey, is bob going to the teachers’ conference this year?”
