smutloop
a literary condition in which the reader can’t get past the good s-x scenes in a book and prefers rereading them rather than continuing on with the story. in its most severe and debilitating form, the reader is interested only in the s-x scenes and the supporting plot is completely ignored. by extension, this term is now applied to movies as well.
i got stuck in a sm-tloop with that latest rachel gibson book and i never finished it.
