Subinvite
to be a guest to a party, group outing, etc, and invite/bring along others, who were not included in the original invitation. note: if an invitation includes permission to bring along one or more unspecified people (e.g., “and guest” or “+1”), then it does not count as a subinvite, as long as the guest does not bring along more people than specified on the invitation.
“i thought this was supposed to be a girls’ night out.”
“it was–until lisa subinvited her boyfriend.”
