Sveiks
this is a lithuanian toast, it means “to your health” and is used like americans use “cheers” and italians use “salud.” in latvian, it also has a traditional meaning of “to your health” or “hale and hearty”, but is commonly used as a greeting of “h-llo”.
when having a toast at a meal, you say “sveiks!” and down the drink.
an exclamation similar to yikes, but with a polish or swedish ring to it. use it when your swedish m-sseuse hits the right spot.
