a chinese sp-ce traveler, derived from the chinese term “taikong ren,” which translates roughly as “sp-ceman.”
american sp-ce travelers are astronauts; russian sp-ce travelers are cosmonauts; chinese sp-ce travelers are taikonauts. three taikonauts are supposed to be launched into orbit in the fall of 2003.
