an article published in may 2006 in “the sun”, a british tabloid newspaper, announced that the british public had voted one-hit wonder and reality-show charlatan will young the most popular british artist of all time. the beatles, commonly regarded by music critics the world over as arguably the best band of all time, barely scr-ped into the top 40, making number 34 in the same survey.
