defining someone who appears to be somewhat depressed and yet keeps a constant game face on. usually a hobo or a lush.
someone described as troubled joe, is, well, troubled. also compare ‘average joe’.
i woke up today and felt like the ghost of troubled joe…i think i’ll quit my job.
