twired
too exhausted to do anything, too wired to sleep.
i felt twired after drinking an espresso at 4:00 am.
to be in a combined mental state of tired and wired.
i see my colleague in the elevator on the way to the meeting room. i ask him how he is doing. he says, “i have been up all night to prepare this presentation for the board. i’ve been working on it non-stop for three days. i’ve been drinking coffees like a bandit to stay awake. i’m so toasted. i’m so wired, too. man. h-ll, i”m twired.
a combination of exhaustion and over use of stimulants resulting in a delirious state.
pete: dude i just worked a 12 hour shift and drank 3 redbulls to finish my 24 page paper.
john: you’re going to be so twired.
wired of off all things twilight related.
