Unsplanation
the unsplanation is a non-explanation that’s been carefully crafted to confuse, with the hope that the asker will spend more time deciphering the unsplanation (and all its possible meanings) than pursuing the real answer to the question; a nonsensical stall, in lieu of the true explanation; sometimes referred to as “bullsh-t”
freelance employee: “are we being laid off? where’s the work?”
company unsplanation: “rest -ssured, our development team is working hard to rearrange the way freelance work is -ssigned for your areas of expertise. we cannot reveal our game plan, as it must be kept under wraps as to not fall into the hands of our compet-tors. an announcement will be made within a few weeks. stay tuned!”
