urban panda
a wanna-be hip-hop chinese boy, usually residing in beijing. an urban panda spends his evenings hanging out at bars and clubs that serve cheap drinks (often made with fake alcohol) trolling for drunk foreign girls and quietly hating other boys doing the same thing. although he has a sweet, benign demeanor, if anything goes down, he will throw bottles at, pour beers on, and flick cigarette b-tts towards the fighting crowd from the safety of the dj booth. distinguishing features may include tattoos, earrings, knit hat, puffy jacket, and baggy jeans; he may also have unexplainable scars. the urban panda is excellent in bed: lots of endurance, creativity, flexibility, and willingness to please.
the club was full of urban pandas drinking shots.
girl: d-mn, that urban panda is sweating me.
friend: girl, he sweats everyone.
“urban panda” was actually coined by anthony kiedis of the red hot chili peppers while on tour in j-pan in 2000. the term was used to describe the j-panese girls of shinjuku and their outlandish fashion which is doc-mented on you tube. the original footage from the tour was sent to event producer and designer “kristien amer” at the time and was subsequently adopted as a business (www.urbanpanda.com) in 2000 and it wasn’t until several years later, others began using the phrase.
