Urban Salute
an alternate expression for the middle finger. often gestured in heavily urbanized areas where sleep is of a myth and stress is more abundant than polluted air. considered a salute because it is one of the most prevalent ways in which a stranger engages another individual like a hand shake or a hug is prominent in lesser disturbed regions.
guy 1: dude, i hailed a taxi cab but the b-st-rd ignored me so i gave him the urban salute.
