the act of virtue signalling from a corporate standpoint in an effort to ostracize some or all of your audience for the sake of moral superiority.

ceo: we decided to take a political stance and made an attempt at virtue marketing our services. turns out we told our primary audience we didn’t want their money anymore. whoops!
