voluntold

when a situation that calls for a volunteer arises and somebody forcibly volunteers somebody else without their permission and/or knowledge. you are volunteered, but it is not you volunteering yourself.
i was planning on getting laid tonight, but instead got voluntold by my brother to cook dinner for my family. of course, i was not told this until i was just about to leave.
voluntold: the exact opposite of volunteering. always used in reference to an unpleasant task to which you have been -ssigned by your boss.
example 1:

co-worker 1: i hear you got a transfer.
co-worker 2: yeah. i didn’t want to, but i was voluntold.

example 2:

co-worker 1: you want to go fishing sat-rday???
co-worker 2: i can’t, i got voluntold i have to work this weekend.
forciby volunteered. a task that was once voluntary has now been ordered to you.
“you slack -ss ensigns. since none of you are going to volunteer, consider yourselves all voluntold. see you tomorrow morning at 0600.”
to be told that you have been volunteered for something. volunteered without your express consent or knowledge.
i was voluntold for the charity event at my fraternity house by my brother.
to be volunteered without asking you first. told to do something without your consent.

when someone “volunteers” someone else for something so that the other person really doesn’t have a choice.

the act of “volunteering” someone for something without giving them the choice.

“pretty good, even though i was voluntold for it. i thought it was gonna be boring, but it’s a lot of fun!”
not volunteering for something but then being told by someone with a higher authority to do it.
