warez d00dz
not to be confused with the casual kazaa user, the regular irc downloader, or the cd sharing home user, warez d00dz are part of the darkest internet subculture, alongside beasiality p-rn, virus d00dz, and hotornot.com. warez d00dz usually copy the warez from their own software, breaking copy protection if need be. warez d00dz could be found on the web (http) until the internet stock crash, after which they couldn’t find any decent hosting places and took most of their work to irc or pr0n sites.
warez d00dz are best used and abused. without them we would have trouble finding antiquated abandonware and obscure modern software t-tles, and even kazaa needs it’s sources — most of which are on irc. their egos rest on how much illegal software they’ve acc-mulated and shared for all to see, so download a few files and keep the heads big, but — heaven forbid — don’t become one!
hang out in the related chatrooms but are not the same:
virus d00dz – like hackers, but they write virii. use names such as “d00m666”.
drug d00dz – functionally the same as a virus d00d, but lacks the technical skillz (i.e. programming). writes in alternating caps or 1337 speak. grows mushrooms in his desk drawers and deals hard to find substances like peyote. use names such as “shroomz”.
script kiddies – the aol equivalent of the hacker community. use names such as “linux”.
1337 h4ck3rz- jeff k – a typing dialect of the script kiddie community. numbers are usually subst-tuted for letters. use names such as “cyph0rk”.
a substantial subculture of crackers refer to themselves as `warez d00dz’; there is evidently some connection with b1ff here. as `ozone pilot’, one formerwarez d00d, wrote:

the studly thing to do if one is a warez d00d, it appears, is emit `0-day warez’, that is copies of commercial software copied and cracked on the same day as its retail release. warez d00ds also h–rd software in a big way, collecting untold megabytes of arcade-style games, p-rnographic jpgs, and applications they’ll never use onto their hard disks. as ozone pilot acutely observes:
belong is the only word you will need to know. warez d00dz want to belong. they have been shunned by everyone, and thus turn to cybersp-ce for acceptance. that is why they always start groups like tgw, flt, usa and the like. structure makes them happy. … warez d00dz will never have a handle like “pink daisy” because warez d00dz are insecure. only someone who is very secure with a good dose of self-esteem can stand up to the cries of f-g and girlie-man. more likely you will find warez d00dz with handles like: doctor death, deranged lunatic, h-llraiser, mad prince, dreamdevil, the unknown, renegade chemist, terminator, and twin turbo. they like to sound bad-ss when they can hide behind their terminals. more likely, if you were given a sample of 100 people, the person whose handle is h-llraiser is the last person you’d -ssociate with the name.
the contrast with internet hackers is stark and instructive.
