woolco
once popular, now defunct chain of retail stores similar to k-mart or wal-mart. founded in 1962, the stores were at their height of popularity in the 1970s. all woolco stores eventually closed down in 1983, never to be heard from again.
i found a great deal on a blender at woolco, but when i took it out to use it, i found it didn’t work. now i know not to buy things just because they are cheap.
