yashm
acronym for “yet another super-hero movie” describing the many virtually identical super-hero movies where an ignored n-body is inexplicably given super powers and uses them against a random bad guy trying to destroy the city.
often includes “the macguffin” which gives the protagonist, antagonist, or both their powers and is ultimately their downfall.
“i’m bored wanna see a movie?”
“yeah but i don’t want to think, let’s see yashm.”
“what was the movie where the guy had to find the cube to defeat the robots?”
“i don’t know. sounds like yashm.”
