fatefull night in istambul where liverpool pulled off one of the most memorable combacks in european history to beat ac milan in the european cup final.
from being 3-0 down at half time, led by captain steven gerrard, liverpool scored 3 times in 6 minuets to end the game 3-3. extra time followed with no goals, and liverpool won in a tense penalty shootout.
more than this single historic victory this was liverpool’s 5th european cup, making them the 3rd most successful team in the compet-tion, and alowing them to keep the trophy.
