there are cultures that have no difficulty integrating people who change s-x roles, often holding them with high regard, such as the traditional role for ‘two-spirit’ people found among certain native american tribes.
my grandmother was native american and sometimes i wonder if she would have accepted the lifestyle that i’ve chosen and i would be call 2spirit.
