Afro-Mexican
the term afro-mexican (spanish: afro-mexicano) refers to mexican citizens who are black or of african descent. afro-mexicans have historically been majorities in certain communities in mexico. although now largely -ssimilated in the population, they are concentrated mainly in coastal states such as guerrero, oaxaca, and veracruz. there are also afro-mexicans spread throughout parts of mexico (for example, arenal, jalisco is a small town that is heavily afro-mexican.)
