an event where in the middle of writing a text message, the phone’s auto-correct software changes a word to what it -ssumes is correct, based on similarities in the word’s structure, length, or letters to another word. this can often cause a miscommunication and result in two confused and angry individuals.
texter “ya so i was walking into the store and the murderer came up to me and told me i was fired.”
receiver “lol wut?”
texter “-manager, my phone just f-cking autotexted me.”
