baanah
son of affliction. (1.) one of the two sons of rimmon the beerothite, a captain in saul’s army. he and his brother rechab -ss-ssinated ishbosheth (2 sam. 4:2), and were on this account slain by david, and their mutilated bodies suspended over the pool at hebron (5, 6, 12). (2.) the father of heled, who was one of david’s thirty heroes (2 sam. 23:29; 1 chr. 11:30).
