Ballachulish bagpipes
a medical instrument used in the scottish highlands, up to the early `60´s, to -ssist in consitpation. it consisted of a large rubber sphere with a 6 inch tube attached. the sphere was filled with luke-warm water and a little amount of liquid soap. the tube would then be attached and pushed gently up your bottom and the contents emptied into your bowels………….the rest came naturally and very quickly.
i got this treatment of the ballachulish bagpipes as a small child a couple of times.
