beat like a dog
who can’t read music. to be held to a standard you know nothing about or is impossible to meet, and to be constantly punished for not meeting that standard. a form of spouse abuse. the abuser uses mr or ms wonderful as their standard, and average isn’t good enough. a sign that a marriage is terminal.
i’m being beat like a dog who can’t read music, and i don’t know how much more i can take.
