arguably originated in new orleans, la though it is widespread throughout the southern region of the united states. made popular nationwide by dwayne michael carter more commonly known as lil’ wayne, “believedat” (pr-nounced ba-lee-dah) is a combination of the words “believe” & “that”. it is used to reinforce a previously made point or objective.
i don’t care what day it falls on, when its my birthday i’m going out, popping bottles, dancing my -ss off and bringing someone home with me…believedat.
