bending my whistle
to annoy, aggravate, or upset. similar to jerk my chain, grind my gears, or twist my nipple. refers both to the fact that a damaged whistle will not sound and also to bending the pitch of a whistle’s note, i.e. changing one’s mood (in this case, for the worse). some read slight s-xual innuendo in it.
“did leroy send you another stupid chain email?”
