bit hose
a term used by it professionals to refer to a network link, or flow of data in bits, bytes, etc. a “bit hose” could be any i/o, yet is intended to be used in reference with networking.
in reference to a network intrusion, “sadly, the rogues walked in through the bit hose and set up shop; most had no idea they were ever there.”
