Black Woodstock
a euphemism for nba all-star weekend. a celebration of a predominately african-american sport in the united states, nba all-star weekend contains many activities that african-americans enjoy. what makes the term “woodstock” most appropriate (and ironic) is that the entertainment during nba all-star weekend is the exact opposite of the 60’s celebration of the same name. it is not outside, there is no rain, mud, dirty people, and camping; all things that african-american’s tend to shy away from. hence, never having a woodstock that caters to the tastes of the african-american culture, nba all-star weekend was dubbed “black woodstock”.
yo cuz, kobe is throwing his first party ever at black woodstock this year! gonna be hype!
