the use of ‘boyfusband’ allows one to avoid the use of the ever-awkward descriptor ‘partner’. the use of which, often leads one into an even more awkward situation wherein one needs to clarify that one is not, in fact, gay. this inevitably leads to the further need to intimate that one is completely accepting and supportive of one’s lesbian sisters, but simply prefers the peen.
