bullshitsu
a word used to describe a form any martial art or other self defence system which may look flashy or effective, but misses out core self defence skills or otherwise ineffectively prepares students for a live situation.
a more expletive version of the word ‘bullshido’
the ‘su’ prefix comes in reference to the ending of the word jujitsu, making the inference that ‘bullsh-tsu’ is a system that can be studied at poor quality dojos.
namby-pamby, flowery karate styles are mostly a pile of bullsh-tsu. except for geoff thompson.
thai boxing and submission fighting are definitely not bullsh-tsu
