burp debt
the feeling one gets when the process of swallowing air in the attempt to release a burp results in no belch, but an uneasy sensation in the stomach due to a buildup of the air one has just swallowed.
‘burp debt’ – much like the monetary loan – is often paid in one swift ‘payment’ of gas or in smaller, residual chunks.
