the byakuyaxrukia pairing from the anime bleach. because rukia is byakuya’s adopted sister and sister-in-law, some fans consider it to be a form of incest; however, since they are not blood-related, most shippers do not consider it so. it has grown to become a considerable and dedicated following in the bleach community.
in some instances, byaruki can refer to platonic “sibling” love instead of romantic love. usually this occurs when a person considers the couple too taboo to be an actual pairing.
