a phrase that is commonly used when ordering an acquaintance to refrain from any frantic behavior, using an image of calming one’s internal bucket.
person #1: “oh my god, i don’t know how i’m going to pay for my bills, child support, and not to mention my tuition for community college!!! what the h-ll am i supposed to do?!”

person #2: “dude, calm your bucket.”

person #1: “… what?!”

person #2: “calm your bucket”

person #1: “what the h-ll is that supposed to mean?!”

person #2: “just calm your f-cking bucket!!!”
