a person who lies in wait, pretending to be sleeping, only to spring a ch-r- on you when you move. someone who pretends to be sleeping or engrossed in another activity, only to make an inconvenient request of you when you walk by. the ch-r- tiger lies in wait, springing ch-r-s on their unsuspecting friends and family.
shauna is such a ch-r- tiger, i have to sneak out of bed in the morning, otherwise she’ll ask me to make her coffee.
i don’t call on the way home anymore, mike is such a ch-r- tiger, he always asks me to make a last minute stop at the store.
