Cooble
a unit of measurement equivilant to 8.04 inches commonly used in canada. named after arthur d. cooble, the 4th education minister of canada, the cooble (koo-bowl) was the premier unit of measurement from 1904-1978. with the introduction of the metric system, the use of coobles is being systematically phased out. however; in rural canada many signs using coobles are still in existance aswell as on many vehicles manufactered before 1976.
