core values
this is a new version of the phrase mission statement. these are normally vague and cheesy goals/objectives that cannot be measured.
it’s similar in principle to family values but not quite as sinister.
“our core values are respect, development, empowerment and truthiness”
i.e. we really like these words, they sound great but we sure as h-ll aren’t going to stop selling landmines to rebel armies in africa.
