a universal form of currency given by dan bergstien that is valid anywhere but in reality. dan points can be obtained by posting a funny comment on his status that succeeds in making him laugh.
you: hey, mom, you know how we have to go watch grandma’s bingo tournament tonight?
mom: yes, what about it?
you: well, i have 22 dan points, and you know what that means.
mom: no…
you: -heaving an exasperated sigh- it means that i don’t have to go to grandma’s bingo tournament. it also means you have to buy me a slurpee. extra large.
mom: you’re grounded.
