Darkness come early
a comedic statement said by dark skinned individuals when they show up before they are expected (on time).
often used for evening engagements where the individuals of dark complexion are -ssumed to be arriving after the sun has set. if this individual arrives on time (before sunset), then darkness is said to have come early

phil: who could that be? everyone is already here, it’s only 6 and reggie won’t show until at least 11.

reggie: surprise, darkness come early!
