combination of “daydreaming” + “creeping”. when your mind wanders off in a public place and you stare blankly at someone or something without noticing you’re doing it. others will see you as creepily staring, even if you have no intention of creeping.
i was at the library today and fortunately caught myself daycreeping before they noticed.
