disney channel original movie; characterized by endless promotion, cheesy, feel-good themes, lots over-acting by cute teenagers, and semi-talented singers performing generic pop numbers. generally aimed at the 8-14 age bracket, dcoms are apparently the guilty pleasure of many a high school student, as evidenced by people doing the dance to “we’re all in this together” (high school musical, 2006) in the halls between cl-ss periods.
