v. to disrespect by referring to outdated or outmoded cultural stereotypes
at the end of his cl-ssic track “6th sense” on the alb-m like water for chocolate, common is approached by a female fan who thanks him “because your lyrics are so positive for the women out here.” then he is approached by a wh-r- who complains that it’s raining and her skirt is too short and the police are coming, and he hits her and says “i don’t care if it’s snowing, i want you out there hoeing.”
just before the track cuts out, the first woman says “oh my goodness, how you gonna disretrospect me like that?”
