can be used with regard to doing anything embarr-ssing or foolish. usually followed with, “don’t be a doocey!”
falling of the ski lift in front of customers, your group, your friends or all the above at the same time. may result in the paying money into a community jar for pulling a doocey.

someone who is especially doofy. means the same thing as doof except it is a lot more fun to say. i can’t believe she did that, what a doof monster!
