e-bunk
a word that refers to the e-mail or post written in response to a shared story that is false (hoax, urban legend). the e-bunk usually contains a link to a reputable website that confirms the account given in the hoax e-mail is in fact false. this word is a variation of debunk. can be used as a noun or a verb.
my friend sent me an e-mail saying there was so much lead in certain lipsticks they would make a person sick. i sent her an e-bunk in reply.
